About You & Dream

Just stopping in to get some of my archive pages loaded up so I can finally get started on the newer ones. Here's a few snaps of one of my favorite subjects, my niece, Adeline. I took these photos when we went out to Virginia to stay the winter in our camper. This was in November. If this was in Minnesota, there could well be snow on the ground, and the chances of wearing a dress are pretty thin. I could pass on the hot, humid summers, but winters that didn't touch the single digits I can handle.

Of all the winters we chose to spend in Virginia, we chose the right one. Back in Minnesota, the temps plummeted to -50s. No, that's not a typo. NEGATIVE fifties. I grew up in the north. Cold temps don't really phase me, but you start getting in the double digits below zero even the most hot-blooded will start feeling their eyeballs freeze!

When I was pregnant with Zae, we didn't find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I was scrapbooking at a furious pace so I would have some blanks ready baby pictures. I kept gravitating toward the pinks...so I figured I was going to have a boy! {you know, prepare for rain and you will have sun}

I was sure it was going to be a girl, but when the doctor said, "It's a boy!" I knew in that instant that it was right.
