Treasure The Moment: Stuck?! Sketch Challenge

I finished my CSI Guest Designer layouts for February (the first of which will be revealed on Wednesday--check back!) early enough that I was able to do a Stuck?! Sketches Challenge. This has been a productive scrapping month!

Here's the sketch:

In an effort to get this in on time {thanks again, Cold--you've once again kicked me when I'm down}, so I'll be back to post some detailed shots soon.

{And by soon I mean sometime in some distant future that is definitely not quite yet.}

So, maybe I'll see you...maybe not. I don't want to make promises, but I remain hopeful. {In a world with fibromyalgia, you just have to take it one day at a time and remain optimistic!}

UPDATE (Feb 4): Better late than never! Here's some close-ups, so I can check this off the mental to-do list!

I made the blue flowers when I was creating some prototypes for a collection I was creating for my dear friend Lisa Landry from ILuvCats and Scraps, who incidentally, published a layout today using the flowers I made for her! You know that put a big ol' sappy grin on my face! Go check out her beautiful layout "In Tuxedo"--done in her favorite purples and blues!

And another little tidbit, Lisa had sent a goodie box for Christmas and that's where I got the beautiful pale blue Prima flower with the pearl center. It was the perfectly glittery and frosty centerpiece!

The chipboard from Blue Fern Studios (which I am now a proud supplier of in the kits in my Etsy shop!) was so fun to treat. I used a pale blue embossing powder, sprinkled with a little ebony. Then I used some gesso and puff paint, topped with some embossing powder that I didn't treat with heat, leaving it raw like sprinkles of snow.

That's it for the update! Now that it's Saturday, I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend, especially if you're scrapping :)

  1. You made a BLUE layout!! YAY! And I LOVE it! Both of your boys are very handsome! Such an awesome photo! The look of snow on the paper is perfectly suited and so is the wonderful machine stitching. Beautiful handmade flowers and I LOVE your die cut leaves that really stand out! Beautiful work!
