Heart of Twine: Lasting Memories GDT Week 2 Layout

Happy Sunday friends! Today I'm stopping in to release my second layout for Lasting Memories guest design team this month. The challenge was to use bakers twine to create a BIG shape on your scrapbooking layout. I had this awesome twine that my mom had leftover from some project of hers, and I have been wanting to use it forever, so I was excited for this perfect chance.

The seafoam flowers are handmade from the Moment in Time Collection in my Etsy shop.

I had a great time splattering distressing paint...but things got a little out of hand at one point. The flower cluster at the bottom wasn't originally meant to be in that location, but an eyesore of a paint patch was making me groan, so...you know what they say:

Shop Now!

Kinda like Bob Ross. Happy accidents and all that.

Don't forget, Lasting Memories has a new challenge every Sunday, and you have until May 26th to get in on the action! Here's the line-up of this month's challenges:

April 30: Use small embellishments (buttons, brads, bling, enamel dots, etc) to create a BIG number or letter on your layout.

May 7: Use baker's twine to make a BIG shape on your layout

May 14: Use strips of paper or washi tape in a BIG way on your layout

May 21: Use lots of small photos to create one BIG shape

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Such a special layout! Love the brown & teal tones together. Look how tee-tiny Zae was! The twine heart was the perfect shape to use too! Big congrats on the guest design! And you did a great job on using your embellishing moment in a pretty way! I like that - "embellishing moment"....I encounter that a lot! LOL

  2. oops - sorry. "Embellishment Opportunity" (LOL)

Thanks for all your kind comments!
