Nautical boat and seashells scrapbook layout page in turquoise blue on wood grain background with mixed media elements, cheesecloth, prills microbeads, jute rope twine, seed beads, and pearls

Hi scrapbookers! Today I'm sharing a layout I created with Studio Light's Summer Feelings kit for the Cherish the Memory design team. If you remember, I was working with the Creative With Chalk kit {PINK!}, and I loved that line. This line was perfect for my sophomore projects--it didn't disappoint with all the beautiful goodies!

The sea and summer inspired theme is perfect for the dog days of summer: the colors are cool and refreshing and perfect after the pink binge :)

Maybe my very favorite element: this gorgeous turquoise starfish! LOVE!

I had a hard time flipping to the B-side of the beautiful Seashells and Gems paper, but I'm a sucker for wood grain and boards and I had to use this one; it made the perfect background for some mixed media: dyed cheesecloth, paint and glitter.

  1. You couldn't have chosen a better paper to use!! Love the vibe you created! I can tell that this is a memorable day for you and your sister! LOVE the starfish too; and the swirled rope; and those gorgeous aqua splatters! The colored cheesecloth with all of the goodies (incl those pearls-great idea!) looks fantastic! I'm usually not one for a whole lot of photos/images on a layout, but you really did a great job making this look cohesive.
