Little Library

Little boy scrapbook layout with forest animals, paper layering, puffy stickers, enamel dots in green, orange, and blue on white background

Hi scrappers! I'm back in Minnesota after visiting my sister and her family in Virginia, and that means back to scrapping! Today I'm sharing my DT project for CSI's Case File 238.

The kids are back in school. The nights have gotten cooler, and the afternoons are pleasantly warm. That's September in Minnesota, and it's glorious! The colors in the book and reading inspired mid-month case file over at CSI captures early fall's colors perfectly.

For my evidence I used polka dots, animals, trees, string, colored pencils, and enamel dots. For my testimony I chose to write about reading and the little library they put in at the park down our block. Every time we get to the park now, Zae says "Book!" and gets as excited about getting a new book as he does about playing.

He is definitely my son; I'm never without a book or my Kindle, or my Kindle app on my iPhone in a pinch, and doctor's office waits for readers are just free time to get in another chapter. {sometimes I make appointments in busy departments just for that reason! -- yes, please, just give me the doctor who is always running behind.}

  2. Adorable indeed ! I love the overall design. The papers and embellishments you chose are so sweet, and perfect for a little boy page. Love the bits of thread behind the button. Nice touch. Beautiful handwriting. I rarely journal directly onto my papers for fear of making a spelling mistake and ruining my layout. Zae is so cute. I can see why the library would want him to be featured on their website. TFS. ☺
