October Major Case File CSI

Scrapbooking layout in pink, green, and blue with lots of flowers, wood embellishments, and corrugated cardboard.

Hi all! My last layout was decidedly autumn-inspired, but my DT effort for the October Case File #239 has a much lighter, summery feel to it. I'm all for seasonal inspiration, but don't let yourself get pulled in so deep all of your layouts from September through December are done in orange and contain acorns or maple leaves! ;)

The scene is the inspiration for the case file, which contains a color scheme, clues, and testimony. To complete the challenge, use all five colors, choose THREE of the clues for your layout, and choose one of the journaling prompts (testimony). And for the major case file (the first challenge of the month) there is also a great sketch from the Nifty Pixel.

For my evidence, I used thin stripes (by inking my corrugated cardboard), a floral pattern, flowers/leaves, string, music elements (the bird chipboard), and wood.

For testimony, I chose to handwrite my journaling and be inspired by the word paradise.

  5. Beautiful work, Carrie. I love how well you've mixed the challenge colours. The larger flower grouping is so pretty and very much resembles the ones in the photo. Love the fanciful stitching on the blue paper. Great job. ♥
