Hidden Trails: CSI 242

Rustic masculine autumn boy scrapbook page layout in gray, brown, green, and black, on wood panel and wood grain background, with green chevron patterned paper, corrugated cardboard, Blue Fern Studios chipboard, heat embossing, tag, and journaling for CSI design team case file 242

Today it's time to share my design team layout for CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. If you haven't joined in on the fun yet, I invite you to come over and play one of the funnest scrapbooking challenges there is!

Here's this month's case file:

Evidence I used is a text pattern, tags, string, and fussy cutting. For the testimony, I documented something I love to do, which is do our autumn traditions!

I love autumn, despite the fact that it heralds the coming of winter, my least favorite season. There is a wonderful pumpkin patch called Hidden Trails that has a corn maze nearby. We took Zae there on what turned out to be the last beautiful day of autumn to run through the maze and play in the kiddo's play area, which had so many fun things to do: a two story tube slide, a trike racetrack, a shed full of dried shucked corn with little digging utensils, a giant rope spider web, and a bunch of other things Zae didn't want to leave behind!

Pumpkin patch

The pumpkins were so orange, the sky so bright, the wind the perfect temperature, the sun shining. It was one of those days that, even though I had been feeling sad lately, I couldn't help but soak in the joy.

Here's a little info about how to play along with the case file.
The scene is the inspiration for the case file, which contains a color scheme, clues, and testimony. To complete the challenge, use all five colors, choose THREE of the clues for your layout, and choose one of the journaling prompts (testimony).

Here's a link to the Law and Order page (rules) for the rest of the details.

Thanks for coming over today. Hope you enjoyed the invisible tea and...let's see, today let's have cinnamon coffee cake. Sounds like a good autumn treat :)

  1. These photographs are fabulous!! Beautiful you and Zae, especially! The aerial photo of Hidden Trails and how they spelled the name in the maze is really "A-Mazing" (get it? hee hee) Looks like Autumn in your part of the country is stunningly gorgeous with the bright orange pumpkins - I just get to see them in huge boxes in the grocery stores :(. Love that you documented the occasion in such a perfect way, journaling and all! Your work is so heartfelt and I especially love that the most!

  2. Wow, that maze is something else !!!
Beautiful take on the CSI challenge. I really like how the whole thing as a muted look to it. The woodgrain paper and the corrugated cardboard work really well as part of the design. Love that "documented" die-cut. Zae is looking more and more like a little boy rather than a toddler. I'm glad you're staying on as part of the design team.
